Just over 25 years ago, the apartheid system was abolished in South Africa and much has improved. But despite that, the country today is very unequal. There are unwritten but clear rules for how girls and boys are expected to behave, and LGBTQI people face strong prejudice. Rape rates are high and sexual harassment common. In the film, we meet young people and experts who talk about the situation in South Africa today, and how they are working to change it so that the future can be better.
The series is available for teachers to show in a school setting through UR play access.
